Moderna Announces Positive Phase 3 Results for mRNA Influenza Vaccine mRNA-1010
Moderna reports positive Phase 3 efficacy data for its mRNA-based seasonal influenza vaccine mRNA-1010, demonstrating superior immunogenicity versus standard flu vaccines.
Moderna today announced positive results from the Phase 3 P303 trial evaluating mRNA-1010, its investigational mRNA-based seasonal influenza vaccine. The trial demonstrated that mRNA-1010 met all four co-primary immunogenicity endpoints, showing superior immune responses against all four influenza strains compared to a licensed quadrivalent influenza vaccine. The vaccine was well-tolerated with a safety profile consistent with other mRNA vaccines. mRNA-1010 represents the first mRNA-based influenza vaccine to demonstrate superiority in a Phase 3 trial. Moderna plans to submit a Biologics License Application to the FDA and regulatory applications in other countries based on these results.
