Eli Lilly Announces Positive Phase 3 EMBER-3 Results for Imlunestrant in Breast Cancer

Eli Lilly and Company today announced positive results from the Phase 3 EMBER-3 trial evaluating imlunestrant, an oral selective estrogen receptor degrader (SERD), in patients with estrogen receptor-positive, HER2-negative advanced breast cancer. The trial met its primary endpoint, demonstrating a statistically significant improvement in progression-free survival compared to standard endocrine therapy. Imlunestrant is an oral SERD that degrades the estrogen receptor, providing a convenient oral alternative to fulvestrant. These results support the potential of imlunestrant as a new oral endocrine therapy for breast cancer. Lilly plans to submit regulatory applications based on these results.
