Eli Lilly Receives FDA Approval for Omvoh in Crohn's Disease

Eli Lilly announces FDA approval of Omvoh (mirikizumab-mrkz) for adults with moderately to severely active Crohn's disease.

Eli Lilly and Company today announced that the FDA has approved Omvoh (mirikizumab-mrkz) for the treatment of adults with moderately to severely active Crohn's disease (CD). In the Phase 3 VIVID-1 induction and maintenance trial, Omvoh demonstrated statistically significant improvements in clinical remission, endoscopic response, and endoscopic remission compared to placebo. Omvoh is an IL-23 inhibitor that selectively targets the p19 subunit of IL-23. This approval expands Omvoh's use into Crohn's disease, adding to its existing approval in ulcerative colitis. Lilly continues to study mirikizumab in other inflammatory conditions.
