Gilead Sciences Presents 10-Year Real-World Data Confirming Biktarvy Durability in HIV Treatment

Gilead Sciences presents long-term real-world data showing Biktarvy (bictegravir/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide) maintains viral suppression in HIV patients over 10 years.

Gilead Sciences today presented long-term real-world data from multiple cohort studies showing that Biktarvy (bictegravir/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide, B/F/TAF) maintains high rates of viral suppression in people living with HIV over extended follow-up periods. The data, presented at a major HIV conference, showed that over 95% of patients maintained viral suppression at 10 years of follow-up. Biktarvy demonstrated a high barrier to resistance, with no treatment-emergent resistance mutations observed in the long-term studies. These results reinforce Biktarvy as a durable, long-term treatment option for people living with HIV.
