Merck Announces Keytruda Shows Significant Overall Survival Benefit in Cervical Cancer

Merck today announced that KEYTRUDA (pembrolizumab) demonstrated a statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvement in overall survival (OS) in patients with persistent, recurrent, or metastatic cervical cancer in the Phase 3 KEYNOTE-826 trial. The trial showed a median OS of 26.4 months for patients receiving KEYTRUDA plus chemotherapy with or without bevacizumab compared to 16.8 months for placebo plus chemotherapy. This represents a 40% reduction in the risk of death. These results reinforce KEYTRUDA as a standard of care in cervical cancer treatment. Merck will present these updated data at an upcoming medical conference.
