Pfizer Receives FDA Approval for Cibinqo in Adolescent Atopic Dermatitis

Pfizer announces FDA approval of Cibinqo (abrocitinib) for adolescents aged 12-17 years with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis not adequately controlled with topical therapies.

Pfizer today announced that the FDA has approved Cibinqo (abrocitinib) for the treatment of adolescents aged 12 to 17 years with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD) whose disease is not adequately controlled with topical therapies. In the Phase 3 JADE TEEN trial, Cibinqo demonstrated significant improvements in skin clearance and itch reduction in adolescent patients. The IGA 0/1 response rate was 46.2% for Cibinqo 200 mg versus 16.3% for placebo at week 12. This approval expands Cibinqo's use into the adolescent population, providing a new oral treatment option for teenagers with moderate-to-severe AD.
