AstraZeneca Presents 5-Year Real-World Data for Fasenra in Severe Eosinophilic Asthma

AstraZeneca today presented 5-year real-world data from multiple observational studies showing that Fasenra (benralizumab) maintains significant reductions in asthma exacerbations in patients with severe eosinophilic asthma in clinical practice. The pooled analysis of over 3,000 patients demonstrated a sustained 70% reduction in severe exacerbation rates compared to the pre-treatment period. Additionally, 65% of patients were able to reduce or discontinue oral corticosteroid use over 5 years. These long-term real-world data confirm the durable benefit of Fasenra in severe eosinophilic asthma.
