AstraZeneca Reports Phase 3 SERENA-6 Results for Camizestrant in ER-Positive Breast Cancer

AstraZeneca announces Phase 3 SERENA-6 trial results showing camizestrant significantly improved progression-free survival in ER+/HER2- advanced breast cancer.

AstraZeneca today announced results from the Phase 3 SERENA-6 trial evaluating camizestrant, an oral complete estrogen receptor antagonist, in patients with ER-positive, HER2-negative locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer. Camizestrant demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in progression-free survival versus fulvestrant, with a hazard ratio of 0.61. The oral once-daily dosing was convenient and well-tolerated with a favorable safety profile. These results support camizestrant as a potential new treatment option for ER+/HER2- breast cancer.
