AstraZeneca Announces 5-Year Overall Survival Data for Tagrisso in Adjuvant NSCLC
AstraZeneca presents 5-year overall survival data from the ADAURA trial showing Tagrisso (osimertinib) significantly improves survival in resected EGFR-mutated NSCLC.
AstraZeneca today announced 5-year overall survival (OS) data from the Phase 3 ADAURA trial showing that Tagrisso (osimertinib) significantly improved OS in patients with resected, EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). At 5 years, the OS rate was 88% for patients receiving Tagrisso compared to 78% for placebo in Stage II-IIIA disease. The hazard ratio for OS was 0.49, representing a 51% reduction in the risk of death. These results establish Tagrisso as the standard of care in the adjuvant setting for EGFR-mutated NSCLC. The data will be submitted to regulatory authorities globally to update the approved label.
