AstraZeneca Reports 5-Year Adjuvant Tagrisso Data in Early-Stage EGFR-Mutated NSCLC
AstraZeneca announces 5-year follow-up data from ADAURA trial showing sustained disease-free survival benefit for osimertinib in early-stage EGFR-mutated NSCLC.
AstraZeneca today announced 5-year follow-up data from the Phase 3 ADAURA trial evaluating adjuvant Tagrisso (osimertinib) in patients with resected stage IB-IIIA EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer. At 5 years, the disease-free survival benefit was maintained with a hazard ratio of 0.23 in stage II-IIIA patients. Overall survival data also showed a significant improvement, with a 51% reduction in the risk of death. These landmark 5-year data confirm adjuvant Tagrisso as the standard of care for resected EGFR-mutated NSCLC and demonstrate the potential for cure in this patient population.
