AstraZeneca Reports Phase 3 DESTINY-Breast06 Results for T-DXd in HER2-Low Breast Cancer

AstraZeneca and Daiichi Sankyo announce Phase 3 DESTINY-Breast06 results for trastuzumab deruxtecan in HER2-low and HER2-ultralow HR+/HER2- breast cancer.

AstraZeneca and Daiichi Sankyo today announced results from the Phase 3 DESTINY-Breast06 trial evaluating trastuzumab deruxtecan (T-DXd) versus investigator's choice chemotherapy in patients with HER2-low or HER2-ultralow HR-positive, HER2-negative advanced breast cancer. The trial met its primary endpoint, demonstrating a statistically significant improvement in progression-free survival for T-DXd. The median PFS was 13.2 months for T-DXd versus 8.1 months for chemotherapy. These results expand the potential use of T-DXd to a broader population of breast cancer patients.
