Bristol Myers Squibb Reports Phase 3 LIBREXIA-AF Results for Milvexian in Stroke Prevention

BMS announces Phase 3 LIBREXIA-AF trial results showing milvexian significantly reduced stroke risk in patients with atrial fibrillation.

Bristol Myers Squibb today announced results from the Phase 3 LIBREXIA-AF trial evaluating milvexian, an oral Factor XIa inhibitor, versus apixaban in patients with atrial fibrillation. Milvexian demonstrated superior stroke prevention with a statistically significant reduction in the primary endpoint of stroke or systemic embolism, while also showing a favorable bleeding profile compared to apixaban. These results support milvexian as a potential new anticoagulation option for atrial fibrillation patients and BMS plans to submit for regulatory approval.
