Gilead Sciences Presents Real-World Data on Biktarvy Switch Outcomes in HIV
Gilead Sciences announces real-world evidence showing patients switching to Biktarvy maintain high viral suppression rates with improved tolerability.
Gilead Sciences today presented real-world evidence from multiple observational studies showing that patients with HIV who switch to Biktarvy (bictegravir/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide) maintain high viral suppression rates with improved tolerability compared to their prior regimens. The pooled analysis included over 8,000 patients who switched to Biktarvy from various prior regimens. At 12 months post-switch, 96% of patients maintained viral suppression. Patients reported improvements in patient-reported outcomes including sleep quality, fatigue, and overall well-being after switching to Biktarvy. These real-world data support the use of Biktarvy as a preferred HIV treatment regimen.
