Merck Announces Phase 3 KEYNOTE-091 Results for Keytruda in Adjuvant Colorectal Cancer

Merck reports Phase 3 KEYNOTE-091 trial results for pembrolizumab as adjuvant treatment for resected stage III MSI-H colorectal cancer.

Merck today announced results from the Phase 3 KEYNOTE-091 trial evaluating KEYTRUDA (pembrolizumab) as adjuvant treatment for patients with resected stage III microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H) colorectal cancer (CRC). The trial met its primary endpoint, demonstrating a statistically significant improvement in disease-free survival compared to placebo. The 3-year DFS rate was 79.0% for KEYTRUDA versus 62.4% for placebo. These results support the potential of KEYTRUDA as an adjuvant treatment for patients with resected MSI-H stage III CRC. Merck plans to submit regulatory applications based on these results.
