Novartis Presents Real-World Evidence Showing Leqvio Reduces LDL-C by 50% in Clinical Practice

Novartis announces real-world evidence from multiple studies showing Leqvio (inclisiran) reduces LDL cholesterol by approximately 50% in patients with cardiovascular disease.

Novartis today presented real-world evidence from multiple observational studies showing that Leqvio (inclisiran) reduces LDL cholesterol (LDL-C) by approximately 50% in patients with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) in clinical practice. The data, presented at a major cardiology conference, included over 5,000 patients from multiple countries. Leqvio is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapy that inhibits PCSK9 production in the liver, reducing LDL-C levels. The twice-yearly dosing schedule of Leqvio was associated with high adherence rates in real-world settings. These results confirm the effectiveness of Leqvio in reducing cardiovascular risk in clinical practice.
