Pfizer Receives FDA Approval for Cibinqo in Children with Atopic Dermatitis

Pfizer announces FDA approval of Cibinqo (abrocitinib) for children aged 6-11 years with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis not adequately controlled with topical therapies.

Pfizer today announced that the FDA has approved Cibinqo (abrocitinib) for the treatment of children aged 6 to 11 years with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD) whose disease is not adequately controlled with topical therapies. In the Phase 3 JADE KIDS trial, Cibinqo demonstrated significant improvements in skin clearance and itch reduction in pediatric patients. The IGA 0/1 response rate was 44.5% for Cibinqo 100 mg versus 14.8% for placebo at week 12. This approval expands Cibinqo's use into younger pediatric patients, providing a new oral treatment option for children aged 6-11 with moderate-to-severe AD.
