Pfizer Reports Phase 3 VERITAC-2 Data for Vepdegestrant in ER-Positive Breast Cancer
Pfizer announces Phase 3 VERITAC-2 trial results showing vepdegestrant improved progression-free survival versus fulvestrant in ER+/HER2- breast cancer.
Pfizer today announced results from the Phase 3 VERITAC-2 trial evaluating vepdegestrant, an oral PROTAC estrogen receptor degrader, versus fulvestrant in patients with ER-positive, HER2-negative locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer. Vepdegestrant demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in progression-free survival with a hazard ratio of 0.65. The oral administration and novel PROTAC mechanism of vepdegestrant offer potential advantages over injectable fulvestrant. Pfizer plans to submit a regulatory application based on these results.
