Takeda announces FDA approval of fruquintinib (Fruzaqla) for an expanded indication in metastatic colorectal cancer.
Takeda today announced that the FDA has approved Fruzaqla (fruquintinib) for an expanded indication in metastatic colorectal cancer. The expanded approval covers patients who have received prior fluoropyrimidine-, oxaliplatin-, and irinotecan-based chemotherapy, an anti-VEGF biological therapy, and if RAS wild-type and medically appropriate, an anti-EGFR therapy. This expanded approval provides more patients with refractory metastatic CRC access to fruquintinib, a highly selective VEGFR 1, 2, and 3 inhibitor.
