AbbVie Reports Phase 3 TRANSFORM-1 Results for Navitoclax Plus Ruxolitinib in Myelofibrosis
AbbVie announces Phase 3 TRANSFORM-1 trial results showing navitoclax plus ruxolitinib significantly improved spleen volume reduction in myelofibrosis.
AbbVie today announced results from the Phase 3 TRANSFORM-1 trial evaluating navitoclax, a BCL-2/BCL-XL inhibitor, in combination with ruxolitinib versus placebo plus ruxolitinib in patients with myelofibrosis. The combination demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in spleen volume reduction of ≥35% at week 24, with 63% of patients achieving SVR35 versus 31% in the control arm. The safety profile was manageable with thrombocytopenia being the most common adverse event. These results support navitoclax plus ruxolitinib as a potential new treatment option for myelofibrosis.
