Novartis Reports Phase 3 Results for Remibrutinib in Immune Thrombocytopenia
Novartis announces Phase 3 trial results showing remibrutinib significantly increased platelet counts in patients with persistent or chronic immune thrombocytopenia.
Novartis today announced results from the Phase 3 trial evaluating remibrutinib, an oral BTK inhibitor, in patients with persistent or chronic immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). Remibrutinib demonstrated a statistically significant increase in platelet response rate compared to placebo, with 43% of patients achieving sustained platelet counts above 50 × 10⁹/L. The oral once-daily dosing was convenient and well-tolerated. These results support remibrutinib as a potential new treatment option for ITP patients and Novartis plans to submit for regulatory approval.
