Pfizer Reports Phase 3 BASIS Trial Results for Marstacimab in Hemophilia A and B
Pfizer announces Phase 3 BASIS trial results showing marstacimab significantly reduced annualized bleeding rate in patients with hemophilia A and B.
Pfizer today announced results from the Phase 3 BASIS trial evaluating marstacimab, an anti-TFPI monoclonal antibody, in patients with severe hemophilia A or B without inhibitors. Marstacimab demonstrated a statistically significant 35% reduction in annualized bleeding rate compared to prior prophylaxis. The subcutaneous weekly dosing was convenient and well-tolerated. These results support marstacimab as a potential new non-factor prophylaxis option for hemophilia patients and Pfizer plans to submit for regulatory approval.
