Amgen Reports Long-Term SPOTLIGHT Data for Bemarituzumab in FGFR2b-Positive Gastric Cancer

Amgen today announced long-term follow-up data from the Phase 3 SPOTLIGHT trial evaluating bemarituzumab in patients with FGFR2b-overexpressing gastric or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma. At extended follow-up, the progression-free survival benefit was maintained, with bemarituzumab plus mFOLFOX6 demonstrating a consistent safety profile. These long-term data reinforce bemarituzumab as an effective targeted therapy for FGFR2b-positive gastric cancer and support its continued use in this biomarker-selected population.
