Amgen Reports Long-Term OCEAN(a) Data for Olpasiran in Cardiovascular Disease

Amgen today announced long-term follow-up data from the Phase 3 OCEAN(a) trial evaluating olpasiran in patients with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and elevated Lp(a). At extended follow-up, olpasiran maintained a 95% reduction in Lp(a) levels and sustained reduction in major adverse cardiovascular events. The long-term safety profile was consistent with earlier observations. These data reinforce olpasiran as a durable cardiovascular risk reduction therapy and support its use in high-Lp(a) cardiovascular disease patients.
