AstraZeneca Announces Overall Survival Data for Tagrisso in Early-Stage NSCLC
AstraZeneca presents overall survival data from the ADAURA trial showing Tagrisso (osimertinib) significantly improves OS in resected EGFR-mutated NSCLC.
AstraZeneca today announced overall survival (OS) data from the Phase 3 ADAURA trial showing that Tagrisso (osimertinib) significantly improves OS in patients with resected EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The hazard ratio for OS was 0.49, representing a 51% reduction in the risk of death. At 5 years, the OS rate was 88% for patients receiving Tagrisso compared to 78% for placebo in Stage II-IIIA disease. These OS results confirm the survival benefit of Tagrisso in the adjuvant setting and reinforce its role as the standard of care for resected EGFR-mutated NSCLC.
