AstraZeneca and Daiichi Sankyo Receive European Commission Approval for Enhertu in Gastric Cancer

AstraZeneca and Daiichi Sankyo today announced that the European Commission has approved Enhertu (trastuzumab deruxtecan) for adults with locally advanced or metastatic HER2-positive gastric or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma who have received a prior trastuzumab-based regimen in the European Union. The approval was based on results from the DESTINY-Gastric02 trial, which demonstrated an overall response rate of 41.8%. This approval makes Enhertu available to HER2-positive gastric cancer patients across all EU member states.
