Bristol Myers Squibb Receives FDA Approval for Neoadjuvant Opdivo Plus Yervoy in dMMR Colon Cancer
BMS announces FDA approval of nivolumab plus ipilimumab as neoadjuvant therapy for adults with resectable dMMR colon cancer.
Bristol Myers Squibb today announced that the FDA has approved nivolumab (Opdivo) plus ipilimumab (Yervoy) as neoadjuvant therapy for the treatment of adults with resectable dMMR colon cancer. In Phase 3 trials, the combination demonstrated a complete pathological response rate of 68%, enabling organ-sparing approaches in many patients. This approval establishes neoadjuvant immunotherapy as a new standard of care in dMMR colon cancer and represents a paradigm shift in the treatment of this molecularly defined cancer subtype.
