Takeda Continues Development of Pevonedistat in Higher-Risk MDS Following PANTHER Analysis

Takeda today announced continued development of pevonedistat in higher-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) based on exploratory subgroup analyses from the Phase 3 PANTHER trial. While the trial did not meet its primary endpoint, analyses identified patient subgroups with potential benefit from pevonedistat plus azacitidine. Takeda plans to conduct additional studies in these enriched patient populations. Pevonedistat is a NEDD8-activating enzyme inhibitor that targets the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway.
