Johnson & Johnson Reports Positive Phase 2 AXIOMATIC-TKA Results for Milvexian

Johnson & Johnson today announced positive results from the Phase 2 AXIOMATIC-TKA trial evaluating milvexian, an oral Factor XIa inhibitor, for the prevention of venous thromboembolism (VTE) after total knee arthroplasty. The trial demonstrated dose-dependent reductions in VTE rates with milvexian, with the highest dose showing a 79% reduction compared to enoxaparin. Importantly, milvexian showed a favorable bleeding profile across all doses. These results support the advancement of milvexian into Phase 3 clinical trials for VTE prevention and other thrombotic conditions. Factor XIa inhibitors represent a promising new class of anticoagulants.
