AbbVie Announces Positive Phase 2 Results for Lutikizumab in Hidradenitis Suppurativa

AbbVie reports positive Phase 2 trial results for lutikizumab, an anti-IL-1α/β antibody, in patients with moderate-to-severe hidradenitis suppurativa.

AbbVie today announced positive results from a Phase 2 trial evaluating lutikizumab, a dual anti-IL-1α and anti-IL-1β antibody, in patients with moderate-to-severe hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). The trial met its primary endpoint, demonstrating a statistically significant improvement in the HiSCR50 response rate compared to placebo at week 16. Lutikizumab targets both IL-1α and IL-1β, which are key inflammatory cytokines involved in the pathogenesis of HS. These results support the advancement of lutikizumab into Phase 3 clinical trials for HS. AbbVie is committed to developing new treatment options for patients with this debilitating skin condition.
