Gilead Sciences Discontinues Phase 3 ENHANCE Trial of Magrolimab in MDS

Gilead Sciences announces discontinuation of the Phase 3 ENHANCE trial of magrolimab in myelodysplastic syndrome due to imbalance in AML progression.

Gilead Sciences today announced the discontinuation of the Phase 3 ENHANCE trial evaluating magrolimab plus azacitidine in patients with myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). The decision was based on a recommendation from the independent Data Safety Monitoring Board following an observed imbalance in acute myeloid leukemia progression in the magrolimab arm compared to placebo. Gilead will continue to evaluate magrolimab in other hematologic malignancies where the benefit-risk profile may be more favorable. The company remains committed to advancing treatments for blood cancers.
