Bristol Myers Squibb Reports 5-Year CheckMate-743 Data for Opdivo Plus Yervoy in Mesothelioma

Bristol Myers Squibb today announced 5-year follow-up data from the Phase 3 CheckMate-743 trial evaluating nivolumab plus ipilimumab in patients with previously untreated unresectable malignant pleural mesothelioma. At 5 years, 18% of patients treated with nivolumab plus ipilimumab were alive compared to 14% in the chemotherapy arm. These long-term data demonstrate the potential for durable survival with dual checkpoint inhibition in mesothelioma and reinforce the combination as a standard of care in this aggressive cancer.
