Merck Reports 5-Year KEYNOTE-522 Data for Keytruda in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer

Merck today announced 5-year follow-up data from the Phase 3 KEYNOTE-522 trial evaluating KEYTRUDA (pembrolizumab) plus chemotherapy as neoadjuvant therapy followed by KEYTRUDA as adjuvant therapy in patients with early-stage triple-negative breast cancer. At 5 years, 81.3% of patients treated with KEYTRUDA were event-free versus 72.3% in the placebo arm. These long-term data demonstrate the sustained benefit of KEYTRUDA in early TNBC and reinforce the combination as a standard of care in this aggressive breast cancer subtype.
