Novartis Reports Phase 3 MONARCH-2 Long-Term Data for Kisqali in Breast Cancer
Novartis announces long-term follow-up data from MONALEESA-2 showing sustained overall survival benefit for ribociclib plus letrozole in HR+/HER2- advanced breast cancer.
Novartis today announced long-term follow-up data from the Phase 3 MONALEESA-2 trial evaluating ribociclib (Kisqali) plus letrozole in patients with HR-positive, HER2-negative advanced breast cancer. At 7 years, 32.0% of patients treated with ribociclib plus letrozole were alive compared to 22.8% in the placebo plus letrozole arm. These long-term data demonstrate the sustained overall survival benefit of ribociclib and reinforce it as a preferred CDK4/6 inhibitor in first-line HR+/HER2- advanced breast cancer.
