Pfizer Reports 5-Year CROWN Trial Data for Lorbrena in ALK-Positive Lung Cancer

Pfizer today announced 5-year follow-up data from the Phase 3 CROWN trial evaluating lorlatinib (Lorbrena) versus crizotinib in patients with previously untreated ALK-positive non-small cell lung cancer. At 5 years, 60% of patients treated with lorlatinib were progression-free versus 8% in the crizotinib arm. The 5-year PFS rate represents a remarkable long-term benefit and reinforces lorlatinib as the preferred first-line treatment for ALK-positive NSCLC. These data also demonstrate lorlatinib's ability to prevent brain metastases.
