Eli Lilly Announces Data Supporting Biomarker-Guided Treatment Stopping for Kisunla

Eli Lilly and Company today presented data from the TRAILBLAZER-ALZ 2 trial showing that patients with early Alzheimer's disease who stopped Kisunla (donanemab-azbt) treatment after achieving amyloid plaque clearance maintained clinical benefits through the end of the trial. Among patients who completed treatment due to amyloid clearance, 71% maintained amyloid negativity at 76 weeks. Clinical outcomes in patients who stopped treatment were comparable to those who continued treatment. These results support a biomarker-guided treatment stopping approach for Kisunla, potentially reducing treatment duration and associated costs for patients.
