Regeneron Reports Phase 3 PATHWAY Results for Itepekimab in Severe Asthma

Regeneron and Sanofi announce Phase 3 PATHWAY trial results for itepekimab, an anti-IL-33 antibody, in patients with severe uncontrolled asthma.

Regeneron and Sanofi today announced results from the Phase 3 PATHWAY trial evaluating itepekimab in patients with severe uncontrolled asthma. The trial met its primary endpoint, demonstrating a statistically significant reduction in the annualized rate of severe asthma exacerbations compared to placebo. Itepekimab is a fully human anti-IL-33 monoclonal antibody that blocks IL-33 signaling, an upstream driver of type 2 inflammation in asthma. These results support itepekimab as a potential new biologic treatment option for severe asthma.
