Roche Announces Phase 3 LIDOMA Trial Results for Giredestrant in Early Breast Cancer

Roche reports Phase 3 LIDOMA trial results for giredestrant, an oral SERD, as neoadjuvant treatment for ER-positive HER2-negative early breast cancer.

Roche today announced results from the Phase 3 LIDOMA trial evaluating giredestrant, an oral selective estrogen receptor degrader (SERD), as neoadjuvant treatment for estrogen receptor-positive, HER2-negative early breast cancer. The trial met its primary endpoint, demonstrating a statistically significant improvement in the Ki67 proliferation index reduction compared to letrozole. Giredestrant is a next-generation oral SERD with activity against ESR1 mutations. These results support the potential of giredestrant as a new oral endocrine therapy for early breast cancer. Roche plans to study giredestrant in the adjuvant setting.
