Roche Announces Phase 3 CANOVA Trial Results for Venetoclax in t(11;14) Multiple Myeloma

Roche reports Phase 3 CANOVA trial results for venetoclax plus dexamethasone in relapsed or refractory t(11;14) multiple myeloma.

Roche today announced results from the Phase 3 CANOVA trial evaluating venetoclax plus dexamethasone in patients with relapsed or refractory t(11;14) multiple myeloma. The trial met its primary endpoint, demonstrating a statistically significant improvement in progression-free survival compared to pomalidomide plus dexamethasone. The median PFS was 9.6 months for venetoclax plus dexamethasone versus 5.6 months for pomalidomide plus dexamethasone. These results support regulatory submissions for venetoclax in t(11;14) multiple myeloma, a genetically defined subset of myeloma that is particularly sensitive to BCL-2 inhibition.
