Sanofi Reports Phase 3 PERSEUS Results for Tolebrutinib in Primary Progressive MS

Sanofi today announced results from the Phase 3 PERSEUS trial evaluating tolebrutinib in patients with primary progressive multiple sclerosis (PPMS). The trial met its primary endpoint, demonstrating a statistically significant reduction in the risk of 6-month confirmed disability progression compared to placebo. Tolebrutinib is a brain-penetrant BTK inhibitor that targets both peripheral immune cells and CNS-resident microglia. These results, combined with the HERCULES trial data in nrSPMS, support tolebrutinib as a potential treatment across multiple progressive MS forms.
