Takeda Reports Phase 3 PANTHER Results for Pevonedistat in Higher-Risk MDS

Takeda announces Phase 3 PANTHER trial results for pevonedistat plus azacitidine in patients with higher-risk myelodysplastic syndromes.

Takeda today announced results from the Phase 3 PANTHER trial evaluating pevonedistat plus azacitidine versus azacitidine alone in patients with higher-risk myelodysplastic syndromes. The trial did not meet its primary endpoint of event-free survival. However, exploratory analyses suggested potential benefit in specific patient subgroups. Takeda will continue to analyze the data to understand which patients may benefit from pevonedistat and to inform future development decisions in MDS.
