Vertex Pharmaceuticals today announced Phase 3 trial results for suzetrigine (Journavx) in adults with diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain (DPNP). The trial met its primary endpoint, demonstrating a statistically significant reduction in average daily pain score compared to placebo. Suzetrigine is a highly selective Nav1.8 sodium channel inhibitor that blocks pain signals in peripheral sensory neurons.
